One Too Many? Or a Much Needed Prequel

Hey! Long time no see. I know I’m all over the place and it just happens sometimes, you know?

Today I have a post about a new book I got lately! I don’t usually get paperbacks very often, because of all the electronic books I have and need to catch up on, but probably never will. There’s just too many.

However, I’ll never turn down a free book in person. How could I? It’s exhilarating. And besides, I already have the other three books in the series, I need to finish my collection in paper for my bookshelf. (That may or may not be in storage)

I’d like to thank my dad for buying me this, even though he’s well aware of my problem with books. I love it! I can’t wait to read it.

Now this is a book I didn’t really know existed before it started getting blown up online, and honestly since I started seeing it everywhere, I haven’t been able to stop wondering what it’s really all about. After all, I thought there wasn’t anything else to know. The first book was very thorough, and the last book was very definite, or so I thought.

If you were with me when I was reading them, you’ll know that the second book, Catching Fire, was my favourite. I do think I need to check them out again, however. I’d love to get sucked back into that world. It’s just nostalgic, like reading The Uglies series.

I’d also like to say that I love the green in the cover. Green is my favourite colour! I don’t really understand the golden pin on the front though, if this is actually a prequel. Wouldn’t the uprising not be a thing yet? I mean, if it’s just so that it’s recognizable that makes sense. I’d love to read it and know the answer.

If you’ve read this I’d love to hear your thoughts about how it fit in with the rest of the series! If you’re like me and haven’t yet, I’d also love to think about what you think it’s going to be like or just about it in general!

I hope everyone is staying safe and having a good summer reading time! Thanks for staying with me, and most importantly, thanks for reading. Hope you have a great day!
